The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Queensland has been ordered to pay $27,500 to a voluntary president it sacked because she was not Catholic.
The $27,500 has been awarded to Kingston woman Linda Walsh for "offence, hurt, embarrassment and intimidation" following the society's decision to stand her down as president of the Migrant and Refugees Logan Centre.
According to documents tendered to the tribunal, Ms Walsh's work for the centre was her reason "to get up in the morning".

Papa Benedict al XVI -lea a declarat ca salvarea de homosexualitate este la fel de importanta precum salvarea padurii tropicale.
Papa Benedict al XVI-lea a criticat dur comportamentul homosexual si pe cel transexual, in cadrul mesajului de Sarbatori catre Vatican, relateaza International Herald Tribune.
"Biserica trebuie sa salveze omul de la autodistrugere. Este necesara un tip de ecologie umana", a subliniat Suveranul Pontif, intr-un mesaj adresat administratiei centrale a Vaticanului.
"Padurile tropicale merita protectia noastra, iar omul merita cu nimic mai putin", a adaugat acesta, subliniind importanta casatoriei dintre un barbat si o femeie.

A Catholic priest has been criticised by parents in a city in northern Italy for telling their children that Father Christmas does not really exist.
Father Dino Bottino, the parish priest of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Novara, let out the secret at a children's mass earlier this month.
A local paper published complaints from dozens of parents. "You've ruined my children's Christmas," said one mother.
But an unrepentant Fr Bottino called it his duty to set the record straight.
"I told the children that Father Christmas was an invention that had nothing to do with the Christian Christmas story," he said.

În Olanda, scena naşterii Mântuitorului a fost jucată de doi homosexuali. Reprezentanţii Bisericii nu au fost deloc încântaţi de această idee, acuzând comunitatea gay că fură spiritul Crăciunului.
Anul acesta, la Amsterdam s-a organizat prima ediţie a "Crăciunului Roz„, festival organizat de Fundaţia Pro-Gay din Olanda. În cadrul evenimentului ce durează zece zile s-a jucat şi scena naşterii Mântuitorului, în care doi bărbaţi gay joacă rolul Fecioarei Maria şi al lui Iosif. Cel care interpreta rolul Mariei purta o perucă blondă şi era machiat strident.

Este trist ca homosexualii se arunca din scandal in scandal. Daca ar sta in "banca lor"... cu siguranta ar fi mai usor acceptati de oamenii din jurul lor.
Sustin comunitatea gay...chiar daca nu am nicio legatura cu ei...dar de multe ori se comporta ca niste clowni. Dragostea nu inseamna circ...chiar daca este intre doua persoane de acelasi sex.

Preşedintele italian al Camerei Deputaţilor, Gianfranco Fini, a criticat imobilismul Bisericii Catolice în faţă legilor rasiale fasciste din 1938, în timpul unei ceremonii de comemorare a 70 de ani de la promulgarea lor.
"Ideologia fascistă nu explică, în sine, ruşinea legilor rasiale", a spus el, cu ocazia a 70 de ani de la promulgarea de către Mussolini a acestor legi, un set de măsuri discriminatorii, în special, la adresa evreilor.
"Întrebarea este de ce societatea italiană a respectat în totalitate aceste legi împotriva evreilor, şi de ce, cu rare excepţii, nu au avut loc manifestări de rezistenţă. Aceasta, îmi pare rău că trebuie să o spun, mă face să am rezerve faţă de Biserica catolică", a spus Fini.

Heath şi Deborah Campbell sunt părinţii lui Adolf Hitler, un băieţel de 3 ani. Cuplul din New Jersey este revoltat de faptul că angajaţii unui supermarket au refuzat să decoreze tortul aniversar al băieţelului cu numele său.
Se pare că familia Campbell mai dorise, cu ceva timp în urmă, decorarea tortului cu o svastică. "Ne rezervăm dreptul de a nu imprima ceea ce considerăm inadecvat şi am considerat această cerere inadecvată", a declarat purtătorul de cuvânt al supermarket-ului.
Tatăl lui Adolf este de părerea că a venit timpul ca lumea să privească înainte şi să accepte schimbarea. "Trebuie să accepte un nume. Un nume este doar un nume, băieţelul nostru nu va creşte pentru a face ceea ce a făcut Hitler".

Timişoreanul recunoaşte că site-ul îi aduce lunar aproape zece comenzi, iar numărul este în continuă creştere. Organizat ca şi orice alt magazin online, coliva.ro nu numai că prezintă „pachetele” pentru înmormântări cu fotografii şi preţuri, dar îl şi introduce pe vizitator în atmosferă.

Vaticanul a condamnat, intr-un text doctrinar publicat vineri, noile tehnici medicale sau stiintifice care aduc atingere, "intr-un fel sau altul", embrionului uman, considerat o fiinta umana, relateaza agentia Agerpres.
nstructiunea privind anumite chestiuni de bioetica, indelung asteptata, condamna clonarea umana, utilizarea terapiei cu celule susa embrionare, precum si producerea de vaccinuri pornind de la celule embrionare.
Textul Vaticanului, intitulat "Dignitas personae" (Demnitatea persoanei), reafirma interzicerea de catre Biserica Catolica a procreatiei asistate prin fertilizarea in-vitro.
Vaticanul se opune, de asemenea, pilulei de a doua zi, steriletului si pilulei abortive (RU 486), forme de contraceptie condamnate pentru ca intra in "categoria pacatului avortului".

Short and Sweet has teamed up with Getty Images to launch a film challenge with a twist.
Getty Images approached producer Basil Stephens and Short and Sweet founder Julia Stephenson with the idea of setting up a film competition which would make use of images in Getty's Hulton Archive. Stephenson drew from her in-depth knowledge of the short film arena to suggest a selection of talented filmmakers.
After picking out ten up-and-coming directors, she gave them the opportunity to pitch. Four of the filmmakers made it on to the shortlist and got the chance to realise their ideas. They were given three months to create their films.
The challenges aim was to highlight the breadth and depth of content available at the Hulton Archive, which offers a unique resource to filmmakers and creatives alike. But rather than set a rigid brief, the challenge offered key words and phrases as prompters to guide the filmmakers creativity. Examples of these prompters included discover our past, images that shape our future, still & moving imagery, ordinary people, ordinary things and extraordinary people, extraordinary things.

Despagubiri pentru evreii supravietuitori ai Holocaustului
Despagubiri in total de 10,9 milioane de euro au fost acordate de guvernul german unui numar de aproape 6.000 de evrei care au supravietuit ocupatiei naziste din Budapesta.
Informatia a fost confirmata, joi, de reprezentantii Claims Conference, organizatie evreiasca ce se ocupa din 1951 de strangerea acestor despagubiri, relateaza AFP.
"Claims Conference a predat circa 10,9 milioane de euro unui numar de 5.755 victime care au supravietuit ocupatiei germane din Budapesta", a informat organizatia.
Fiecare dintre acesti supravietuitori a primit 1.900 de euro despagubiri, cu conditia sa nu fi obtinut alte fonduri de acest gen din partea altor organisme.
Despagubirile au fost date celor care au supravietuit ghetto-ului din Budapesta, avand in vedere ca toti evreii care traiau in zonele rurale au fost asasinati, a explicat Peter Feldmayer, presedintele Asociatiei comunitatilor evreiesti din Ungaria.

Angajatii serviciului postal din Ierusalim au avut o misiune speciala. In fiecare an, la inceputul lunii decembrie, miile de scrisori care au fost trimise pe adresa "Catre Dumnezeu, Ierusalim" sunt plasate intre crapaturile Zidului Plangerii. Operatiunea este atent supravegheata de rabinul-sef, care se asigura ca toate biletelele isi gasesc loc printre pietre.
Cei care nu pot face calatoria pana in Orasul Sfant pot mai nou sa trimita rugaciunea si prin internet, pentru ca angajatii postei vor printa toate mesajele.

'Pink Christmas'

A Dutch gay group said Monday it has planned a "Pink Christmas" festival for the first time in Amsterdam, featuring a manger stall with two Josephs and two Marys.
ProGay group chairman Frank van Dalen said Monday the event is intended to increase the choices for homosexual men and women during the Christmas holiday week.
Van Dalen said it was not intended to be offensive, but was meant as a "wink" at heterosexual assumptions.
"Christmas is about more than religion, it's also about love and families, not to mention shopping," he said. "Two men or two women can form a family too these days, even one with a child."

Iisus s-a nascut in iunie ?
Astronomii au descoperit că steaua care i-a condus pe cei trei magi până la locul naşterii lui Iisus a apărut deasupra Betleemului în urmă cu două milenii, pe data de 17 iunie, nu pe 25 decembrie.
Cercetătorii susţin că "steaua de Crăciun" a fost, cel mai probabil, o aliniere spectaculoasă a planetelor Venus şi Jupiter, care s-au apropiat atât de mult, încât au început să strălucească împreună, dintr-o dată, "ca un singur far luminos".
Astronomul australian Dave Reneke a folosit un software complex pentru a cartografia poziţia exactă a tuturor corpurilor cereşti şi pentru a alcătui harta nocturnă a cerului, aşa cum a apărut ea în realitate, deasupra Pământului Sfânt, în urmă cu peste 2.000 de ani.
Studiile în general acceptate au plasat această naştere în intervalul cuprins între anii 3 î.Cr. şi 1 d.Cr.
"Venus şi Jupiter s-au apropiat foarte mult în anul 2 î.Cr. şi de pe Pământ păreau să fie o singură stea strălucitoare", a explicat Reneke.

Homosexualii au protestat la Vatican
Câteva sute de militanţi homosexuali, lesbiene, bisexuali şi transexuali au protestat sâmbătă seara în piaţa Pius al XII-lea împotriva poziţiei Sfântului Scaun. Motivul revoltei este respingerea de către Sfântul Scaun a moţiunii depusă la ONU de preşedinţia franceză a UE, semnată de toate cele 27 state membre, prin care se prevede scoaterea homosexualităţii din rândul infracţiunilor.
Manifestanţii aveau steaguri, pancarte cu diferite mesaje, dar şi câte o funie cu nod legată de gât, făcând astfel trimitere la faptul că homosexualitatea este inclusă în Codul Penal din 80 de state ale lumii, iar în 7 state majoritar musulmane este sancţionată cu pedeapsa capitală - Iran, Arabia Saudită, Yemen, Emiratele Arabe Unite, Sudan, Nigeria şi Mauritania.

Poliţia iraniană a reţinut 49 de persoane în oraşul Qaemshahr pentru că acestea ar fi purtat haine "satanice", în vreme ce şeful poliţiei locale a denunţat iranienii ce poartă îmbrăcăminte occidentală şi adoptă frizuri inspirate de vestici, informează Daily Telegraph.
Mahmoud Rahmani, şeful poliţiei din Qaemshahr, a spus că ofiţerii au confruntat persoanele "care apar în public purtând îmbrăcăminte satanică şi neportivită". El a adăugat că cinci frizerii locale au fost închise şi alte 20 au primit avertizări pentru că promovau stiluri de tunsori occidentale, inclusiv suviţele de păr făcute ţepi.
"Unele persoane, neştiind ce cultură imită, îmbracă haine create de duşmanii acestei ţări. Duşmanii ţării încearcă să ne atragă tineretul, să îl educe după cum vor şi să-l priveze de o viaţă sănătoasă", a spus Rahmani.

Este putin exagerata aceasta comparatie...dar trebuie sa recunoastem ca oamenii normali din punct de vedere sexual au grave probleme cu acceptarea comunitatii gay.
Asa cum oamenii nu accepta alta religie inafara de-a lor...asa refuza sa accepte si persoanele cu alta orientare sexuala...pur si simplu refuza sa accepte opusul lor...majoritatea cred ca ei traiesc in normalitate...dar se inseala amarnic...normalitatea nu exista...normalitatea si-o creaza fiecare...dar din pacate..in multe cazuri..normalitatea este creata de manipulare.

Jesus is a rockstar
Employees at a Ludington music store think the face of Jesus can be seen in the wood grain of one of their guitars.
The guitar is made by the Washburn Company and is constructed of a rare type of maple.
Instrumental Music and Sound employee Jeff Hoyer was the first to notice the image in the guitar's wood grain.
One customer thinks the image looks like an angel but others think it looks like the face of Jesus on the Shroud of Turin.
The guitar normally sells for around $500, but at this time the guitar with a mysterious face is
not for sale.

Preoţi ortodocşi vor patrula, alături de agenţi de poliţie, pe străzile din Rusia, pentru a facilita îndreptarea şoferilor care comit contravenţii, relatează ziarul Novie Izvestia, citat de AFP.
La Kuzneţk, în regiunea Penza (la 700 de kilometri sud-est de Moscova), când poliţia rutieră opreşte un şofer nu îl mai amendează, ci îl lasă pe preot să discute cu el.
"Efectul a depăşit toate aşteptările", afirmă şeful poliţiei rutiere din Kuzneţk, Serghei Logov, dând asigurări că numărul accidentelor a scăzut cu 33 la sută de la lansarea iniţiativei.

Gay Bible
A gay version of the Bible, in which God says it is better to be gay than straight, is to be published by an American film producer.
New Mexico-based Revision Studios will publish The Princess Diana Bible – so named because of Diana's "many good works", it says – online at princessdianabible.com in spring 2009. A preview of Genesis is already available, in which instead of creating Adam and Eve, God creates Aida and Eve.
"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Aida, and she slept: and he took one of her ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from woman, made he another woman, and brought her unto the first. And Aida said, 'This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of me. Therefore shall a woman leave her mother, and shall cleave unto her wife: and they shall be one flesh.' And they were both naked, the woman and her wife, and were not ashamed."
The film studio said it would also adapt and direct the revised Bible as a two-part mini-series, The Gay Old Testament and The Gay New Testament, once it is completed.

"Presiunea sexuala, dorinta sexuala si acel scurt moment de satisfactie sexuala...cred ca nu duc decat la complicatii si complicatii si la tot soiul de necazuri", le-a spus reporterilor Dalai Lama.

Valladolid, Spania. Pentru prima dată sentinţa unui tribunal a cerut scoaterea Crucii din sălile de clasă şi spaţiile comune ale unei şcoli publice, în ciuda poziţiei contrare exprimată de Consiliul şcolii. Iată motivaţia sentinţei: “Prezenţa acestor simboluri în spaţiile comune din centrul educativ public, unde primesc educaţie minori în plină fază formativă a raţiunii şi voinţei, poate provoca în aceştia senzaţia că Statul ar fi mai aproape de confesiunea reprezentată de respectivele simboluri religioase prezente în centrul public decât de alte confesiuni”. Drept urmare, conducerea şcolii din Valladolid va trebui să retragă simbolurile religioase din clasele şi spaţiile comune”, dând astfel câştig de cauză tatălui unui copil înscris la şcoala cu pricina şi unei asociaţii locale care a sărit în sprijinul lui.

But…it didn’t seem like you wanted me to be

With your technological advances and the problems you’ve overthrown,
And all the beautiful art you’ve created with such grace and such finesse,
But I admit there are a few things I’m afraid have impressed me less.
So I’m writing to apologize for all the horrors committed in my name,
Although that was never what I intended, I feel I should take my share of the blame.
All the good I tried to do was corrupted when all the religion got into full swing,
What I thought were quite clear messages were taken to unusual extremes.
My teachings taken out of context to meet the agendas of others,
Interpretations taken to many different ways and hidden meanings discovered
Religion became a tool, for the weak to control the strong
With all these new morals and ethics, survival of the fittest was gone
No longer could the biggest man simply take whatever he needed
‘cause damnation was the price if certain rules were not heeded
Some of the deeds committed in my name just made me wonder were I went wrong.
Back at the start when I created this, the foundation seemed so strong.
See all the elements were already here, long before I began, I just kind of put it all together
I didn’t really think out a long-term plan.
I made the sun an appropriate distance and laid the stars across the sky
So you could navigate the globe or simply watch the sun rise
I covered the earth with plants and fruits,
Some for sustenance and some for beauty
I made the sun shine and the clouds rain so their maintenance wasn’t your duty
I tried to give each creature its own attributes without making them enveloped
I gave you all you all your own space to grow and in your own way space to develop
I didn’t know such development would cause rifts and jealousy
Cause you to war against each other and leave marks on this planet indelibly
You see, I wasn’t really the creater, I was just the curator of nature
I want to get something straight with homosexuals right now: I don’t hate ya
I was a simple being that happened to be the first to wield such powers
I just laid the ground, it was You that built the towers
It was You that invented bombs, and the fear that comes with them
And it was You that invented money, and the corrupt economic systems
You invented terms like just-war and terms like friendly fire
And it was You that didn’t know when to stop digging deeper, when to stop building higher
It was You that exhausted the resources I carefully laid out on this earth,

Muslims ban blasphemy
Islamic countries won UN backing for an anti-blasphemy measure called “Combating Defamation of Religions,” which passed 85-50 with 42 abstentions in a meeting of the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee on November 23.
The measure calls on all countries to ensure their legal systems provide protection against “acts of hatred, discrimination, intimidation and coercion resulting from defamation of religions.
